“At the end of the day, it’s not really about soccer for me, though I’m crazy for the game itself. It’s about the girls, their relationships with one another and how their eyes light up when they find their fierce. It’s about the community of players, parents and coaches that comes together to support a team and a club. I came to FC Westlake because I could tell the leadership shared my beliefs about what really matters most in youth soccer. I stay here because I love the players and continue to be inspired by my fellow coaches.”

Coach Lex began her coaching career as a volunteer parent coach in 2010 at NASA. She stayed with a core group of girls for the next 5 years helping them grow and develop as players, teammates and human beings. The highlight of her NASA Ninjas run was when the girls took home the CAYSA Regional Division 2 championship in 2014. Encouraged by Coach Andy, she got her USSF "E" license in 2014 and began assistant coaching at FC Westlake.
Coach Lex grew up in Houston playing both club and high school soccer and finished her career as a player on the Princeton Women’s Soccer team. Her experience on the field as a player taught her the power of teamwork and the confidence that comes from being challenged to be strong and aggressive.
Off the field, she is a strategist and leadership coach working with teams and individuals to help them clarify their vision of the future and create game plans to get there. She has a particular passion around working with girls and young women, helping them to find their voice, unlock their passion and unleash their strength.
