guillermo "memo" monterd


Originally from Veracruz, Mexico, with a coaching career that begin in 1979 with the Title of Professional Soccer Coach from the Mexican Federation of Soccer Association & the FIFA International Coaching Certification CONCACAF Area in'll have a difficult time finding a more experienced youth soccer coach anywhere in the country than Coach Memo.

On his resume, Coach Memo has both Head & Assistant Coaching stints with professional teams like Tigres UANL, Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz, Atlas, and U de Guadalajara.  He also has Mexican National Team experience with both the U19 Mexican Men's National Team who participated in the U19 World Cup in Russia, as well as, the full Women's National Team that participated in the Elimination Round of the CONCACAF in Toronto, Canada to qualify for the 1999 Womens' World Cup in the United States.

Since moving to the United States in 1999, Coach Memo has coached for Austin United, Austin United Capitals, Force, Millennium, Lonestar, San Antonio United, and now our FC Westlake Junior Academy!

Coach Memo has a strong reputation for being punctual, encouraging, and having a passion for teaching fundamentals...we're very lucky to have him!
