Patrick Cruickshank


Patrick is a well travelled soccer player & coach. He grew up in Canada after emigrating from Aberdeen, Scotland.
After winning Ontario Provincial Championships his senior HS year, Patrick travelled to US National D1 Soccer Powerhouse "Hartwick College", where he helped the Hawks to (2) National NCAA D1 "Final Four" Championships. Jim Lennox & Jeff Tipping were his Mentors/Coaches. Patrick was rewarded with Canadian Olympic/U23 National Team inclusion under Coach Bob Bearpark & Tony Waiters. Jeff Tipping went on to a very successful Career as the Technical Director of Coaching NSCAA.
Patrick obtained his CSA National "C" License before once again traveling south to obtain his USSF "A" License. Subsequent coaching posts have included, University of Mississippi Coaching Staff, State ODP Head Coach, Region IIIODP Staff Coach & CSA Gold Medal winning Canadian National Champions Ontario Provincial Development Team with 5-0 victory over Alberta in the Gold Medal Game.
Patrick went on to receive his MBA from York University's highly recognized "Schulich School of Business" in Toronto, Canada.
Patrick has moved back to Austin for the second time, along with his wife Caroline and 5 children: Kieran (16) Euan (14) Annelise (10) Rogan (6) and Keegan (5). He is happy to be joining FC Westlake to help develop the next generation of soccer stars in Austin.
